Radrick Farms Golf Course Ann Arbor, MI

Project Details

Radrick Farms Golf Course is a 275-acre, championship-caliber, 18-hole course located in the rolling hills east of Ann Arbor. The course was designed by legendary golf course architect, Pete Dye and opened for play in 1967.

In 2014, C.W. Golf Architecture was retained by the University of Michigan to develop a master plan for improvements to the existing practice facilities at Radrick Farms. The planning work was completed in 2015.

The master plans that were developed proposed the following enhancements:

  • 3-acre short game practice area with three greens and several practice bunkers.
  • 40,000 square foot practice tee with artificial mats and a building with indoor hitting bays at the back of the tee.
  • New target greens and practice range fairway to accommodate all practice yardages.
  • Private lesson teaching tee and short game area at the back of the practice range.

The overall goal of the master planning work was to improve the existing practice facilities and offer a more diverse space to practice all aspects of the game – ideally from the green back to the tee. Each of the proposed practice areas will provide the space needed to effectively practice in a safe and comfortable environment.
